ANZSCDB  

The Australia and New Zealand Society for Cell and Developmental Biology exists to advance research and education in cell developmental biology through the provision of a dynamic framework for scientific collaboration.

One of Australia's oldest Scientific Societies, the ANZSCDB works to support Australian and New Zealand research in cell and developmental biology across the board - senior and early-career researchers, and students. Through the following programs, it aims to enhance Australian and New Zealand research and encourage international collaborations:

  • a forum for research dicussion and dissemination of latest trends and ideas
  • a searchable members' database for collaborators
  • the lobbying of Government on your behalf
  • the annual awarding of the prestigious President's Medal for excellence in research in the field of Cell and Developmental Biology
  • the Annual awarding of the Young Investigator Award
  • an annual Workshop Program (by application only)
  • Society streams within the annual ComBio Meeting
  • the offer of student and Early Career Researcher (ECR) travel scholarships for national meetings
  • the distribution of Newsletters and announcement of items of importance and interest to the mailing list
